Unusual CBD Products

You’ve probably noticed that more types of CBD products are available these days. What are some of the most unusual CBD products on the market? We’ll dive into a few of them. Some are practical and some may not seem to make sense, but companies are attempting to make CBD available in every way possible that a consumer could want.

Our List of Unusual CBD Products

These unusual CBD products are sure to get your attention. You may have heard of some, but others may have you scratching your head. The CBD industry is getting very creative by putting this non-intoxicating cannabinoid into anything that makes sense.

CBD Potatoes?

CBD potatoes may be one of the most unusual CBD products in development today. A scientist from Idaho moved operations to Oregon because the potatoes were testing higher than 0.3% THC. The company’s name is J.R. Simplot. No form of cannabis or hemp is legal in Idaho, so the fact that they started this project in Idaho is fascinating.

The head scientist of Simplot, Carl Burbank said, “This is truly groundbreaking. These potatoes are generally easy to grow, they’re quick to mature, and they taste great.”

Until the “Potato State” legalizes hemp, CBD and/or cannabis in some form these potatoes can’t be marketed there.

CBD Water

Why is CBD water on our list of unusual CBD products? Do oil and water blend together? This is why CBD water is fascinating. What happens here is an additional process of filtration takes place that strips the CBD cannabinoid from carbon. Once the carbon is removed the CBD particles are so small they’re able to be combined with water.

The CBD used in CBD water starts out as isolate. This makes it easier to strip the carbon from supercritical CO2 extraction processes. Once the CBD is stripped of carbon, the molecules become about one-millionth of their original size. Pretty impressive!

These miniscule particles are able to circulate through the body much faster as well.

CBD Toothpaste

CBD toothpaste, really? Yes, really! It does exist and is exactly why it’s on our list of unusual CBD products. CBD toothpaste is not available in all CBD markets but can be found online. You can also make your own at home.

The consistency, when you make it at home, may be a little thinner.  If you can’t find it locally, all you need to do is mix 1 or 2 drops of our CalmWay Peppermint THC-free or Peppermint Spectrum Plus 1000 tinctures into your normal amount of toothpaste. Mix it up well and smear it onto your toothbrush. Brush your teeth as normal and rinse well.

Closing Thoughts

These really are some unusual CBD products. As the CBD industry evolves and CBD manufacturers get more creative, even more unusual CBD products will surface. What are some of the more unusual things you’ve seen when shopping for CBD? We’d love to know what you think of some of the unconventional products – practical or not. This is such a versatile cannabinoid that it seems to have a use in thousands of products.
